January 27th Professional Development


Our professional learning on January 27th will continue with collaborative work on proficiency scales. Below is the schedule for the day.

Elementary Professional Development

8:00-11:30 AM

All elementary staff please report to the HS Auditorium.  After guided instruction, you will move to a breakout room to work with your collaborative teams. The breakout rooms may be found here. (Please check again prior to Friday as there may be some updates). Title I Math/Reading, TAG, Special Ed., Reading Specialists, ESOL, and Teacher Librarians will receive an email from a coordinator on which breakout group to attend.

You will need a charged laptop for your collaborative work in the breakout sessions. We would ask that you not use them in the auditorium to make sure that we have adequate technology access throughout the day.

11:30-1:00  LUNCH

1:00-4:00 PM

Please report to the following locations for collaborative work on proficiency scales. You will need a charged laptop for this work.

Altoona Elementary: PK and Kindergarten Teachers
Centennial Elementary: Grade 1 and Grade 2 Teachers
Clay Elementary: Grade 3 and Grade 4 Teachers
Delaware Elementary: Grade 5 and Art, Music, PE, Level III Teachers, Guidance Counselors

Title I Math/Reading, TAG, Special Ed., Reading Specialists, ESOL, and Teacher Librarians will join the group they worked with during the morning session.

Secondary Professional Development

8:00-11:30 AM

All secondary staff will report to the High School. You will work on proficiency scales with your collaborative teams. Please report to the breakout rooms found here. (Please check again prior to Friday as there may be some updates). You will need a charged laptop for this work.

11:30-1:00 LUNCH

1:00-4:00 PM

Please report to your respective buildings for professional development. 

We are looking forward to a productive day of learning and collaboration that will advance our work with standards-based learning.
