January 16th District Professional Development

We are looking forward to our district professional development on Monday, January 16th. The day will run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The focus of our work will be additional guided practice and collaborative work with proficiency scales. Below is a schedule for the day.

Schedule

8:00-11:30 AM: Secondary Proficiency Scales

Secondary Staff: Please report to the Southeast Polk High School auditorium.

Elementary Professional Development

Elementary Staff: Please report to your respective buildings.

12:30-4:00 PM: Elementary Proficiency Scales

Elementary Staff: Please report to the Southeast Polk High School auditorium.

Secondary Professional Development

Secondary Staff: Please report to your respective buildings.

For the district PD, please report to the auditorium for the beginning of your session. After guided instruction, you will move to a breakout room to work with your collaborative teams. The breakout rooms may be found here. Title I Math/Reading, TAG, Special Ed., Reading Specialists, ESOL, and Teacher Librarians will receive an email from a coordinator on which breakout group to attend.

You will need your laptops for your collaborative work in the breakout sessions. We would ask that you not use them in the auditorium to make sure that we have adequate technology access throughout the day.
